About Us

Contented Acres is a four-acre family-owned farm near Peculiar, MO. Gordon and Nancy Snider, the owner-operators, care for a small herd of Kiko goats (New Zealand, purebred, and commercial) as well as a trio of Dexter cows (ADCA registered). The stock is protected by LGDs which are mostly Great Pyrenees.

The size of our farm requires that we incorporate foraging, free-choice hay, and limited grain as a part of our management program. Selling off the farm is our preferred method of marketing our animals, both for meat and replacement breeding stock.

With our goats, we seek to maintain a 7-1 ratio of does to bucks to provide unrelated animals for breeding.

Visitors are always welcome by appointment at Contented Acres.
